7.1.2 Façade Performance

2 minutesread

For metric models – as U-values for the Ground Floor and Roof increase (indicating lower performance), the Façade Performance must improve to compensate for this (ie. thermal values for Glazing and Walls).

For imperial models – as R-values for Ground Floor and Roof decrease (indicating lower performance), the Façade Performance must improve to compensate for this (ie. thermal values for Glazing and Walls).

Current Façade Performance is displayed below the Percentage Glazing indicator at the bottom of the main window.  This may be compared to the Selected Façade Performance to review accordance.

Since this is an R-value (with imperial models), higher values are desirable as it indicates improved resistance of materials to heat loss. Since this is a U-value (with metric models), lower values are desirable to indicate a reduced rate of heat loss.

Selected Facade will adjust as Thermal Properties for Wall and Glazing are modified in Revit
